OUR MISSION

How we honor Shane

Send It For Shane strives to properly honor Shane Halloran by providing opportunities for youth to experience the joys of winter sports and emphasizing the necessity to live your life to the fullest.

  • Provide Opportunities to Youth: Currently, we are partnered with an amazing organization called SOS Outreach. We are so grateful for the donations made by YOU that have allowed us to sponsor 8 kids into their incredible mentorship program in 2022 and for years to come.

Emphasize Living Life To The Fullest: Through the power of social media we are able to connect with Shane’s friends, other family members, and everyone else inspired by Shane. On our social media we promote pursuing happiness by reposting Shane’s content, having conversations about how Shane lived his life, and shouting out those who showcase how they #SENDIT4SHANE.

  • Provide Opportunities to Youth: This goal is what sparked the creation of Send It For Shane. Skiing was Shane’s passion - it brought him closer to his friends and family, it’s how he made new friends, and it’s what encouraged him to live his own life to the fullest by doing what made him happy. We wanted to provide this same opportunity to kids without reinventing the wheel; there are so many organizations already doing an amazing job! We want to help other organizations accomplish their mission while we figure out how we’ll do it The Shane Way - starting with SOS Outreach.

Emphasize Pursuing Your Happiness: Shane lived his life on his own terms, strictly in the pursuit of happiness. It was a lifestyle that allowed him to live more in 25 years than some folks get to in 75. Everyone in his inner circle strived to find that honesty and fearlessness within themselves and still do now. We promote the same #SENDIT philosophy that encouraged Shane to live his life to the fullest in hopes it will provide encouragement to others.

OUR VISION

Where We See Ourselves In Years To Come

We are working hard to one day be able to:

  • Provide financial assistance for those in the thick of grieving and spread awareness about the hardships of grief, and how to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

  • Create our own ways of providing youth and young adults with the tools they need to pursue their happiness and embark down healthy paths.

  • Provide Financial Assistance:

When Shane passed away, emotions took over. Eventually, we had to put those on pause in order to tackle the array of post-life to do’s. That process only made the tragedy more grueling and painful, yet it had to be done. If there’s anything SI4S can do to help families persevere through similar situations, we want to make that happen. This could be financial assistance for funeral or celebration of life arrangements, or accessing necessary mental health resources.

Providing Tools To Choose Happiness & Embark Down Healthy Paths:

Shane was one who didn’t prefer the traditional 9-5 lifestyle. This was mostly because it interfered with his ability to ski, but also because he didn’t really know what he wanted to do. We understand how tricky it is to find the right career, and want to help youth and young adults pursue happiness on and off the mountain.

Providing opportunities for those to experience the joy of winter sports will always be something we do. Skiing was the route to Shane’s happiness, and we hope it can spark passion in others. Eventually, we will include educational scholarships and / or investing in entrepreneurial endeavors to help turn passions into career paths.
